welcome Aladdin to the label with his first offering on wax and
our first solo effort, Boilermaker EP. The A-side opens up with
‘Say,’ a sample-house masterclass bridging seldom connected
worlds. And in the A2 slot is ‘Victims of a System,’ a
pummeling dancefloor heater full of oversized kick drums and
irresistible vocal chops. The B-side doesn’t mess about either,
kicking off with the feel-good cut ‘Whenever You Feel Down
and Out,’ combining equal measures bass-churning ecstasy
and melodic bliss. And closing out the EP is label favorite
Ricky Razu, flipping ‘Victims’ into a mellowed out remix
steeped in signature late-night, hand-clapping goodness.
