SIX ASYMMETRIC STUDIES is the first album born from the collaboration between Mexican musicians Humberto Polar and Mike Sandoval. Polar is the composer and producer behind the techno project Monopolar. Sandoval is a prolific bass player and composer, very active in different scenes like jazz and improvisation. At first, these compositions were presented as improvisations at the Mutek Mexico festival in 2017 and then evolved to written music with elements from ambient, drone, experimental electronics and contemporary composition. This heavily textural music comes from modular synths, acoustic bass and processed guitar, plus some old analog gear used in creative ways.
