Keeping the spirit of an exclusive collection, Jay-Jay, after having painted a self-portrait for the previous EP "Fever" (released for the previous RSD, with Jeanne Added) has this time sketched his silhouette for the cover of this very limited vinyl edition. On the tracklist "Old Dog" from "Kings Cross" in two versions as well as 7 covers of famous movie songs ranging from Send in the clowns" recently heard in "Joker" to
"Moon River" "Stranger in Paradise"... Jay Jay Johanson note about the "Old Dog" song : "– I guess it’s probably my most personal song on my last album “Kings Cross”, a track that means a lot to me, and I’m actually very proud of how it turned out. We have played it live now on the tour and it’s interesting to see how it has grown to be something of a favourite song for the audience. The song is about seeing that close friend of yours, that you are secretly in love with, going out with
the wrong type of guy, again… – I started writing it by my piano, just humming a melody while playing these arpeggio chords. I decided to record it on an electric piano, added the drums and the bass. And the last thing to do was to record these generous, cinematic strings, played by a section of the Fleshquartet."
