After the big success of their >Altogether Lost< release, CLR presents you another one of those clearly unusual tracks by Bristol based experimental Techno duo Emptyset. The original of >Avichi< is an innovative production with eminent attention to each single element. It is stripped down to the absolute basics, consisting of little more than huge bass - which makes everything around vibrate, an irresistible, characteristically diversified groove and some sensibly placed noises. After their recent milestone release on CLR, Emptyset have managed to craft a truly dignified follow up. The choice of the remixing artist definitely makes perfect sense, as we have one of the experts for slightly twisted and noisy, yet elegant and atmospheric Techno productions on the case. Monoloc s remix of >Avichi< is comparatively straightforward, also with a compelling accentuation on the lower bass frequencies. One of Frankfurt s up and coming producers has delivered a very respectable alternative to the original. CLR054 is a piece of solid workmanship with a vanguard edge. It is a solid release which will most certainly draw some attention.
