J.J. Milteau gathers around him some talented accomplices, Michael Robinson, Mike Andersen, Harrison Kennedy, Carlton Moody, under the guidance of Johan Dalgaard... to surf on a soundtrack soaked in blues and all the music he has been programming for over twenty years in his show "Bon Temps Rouler". "My whole life has been determined by buying my first harmonica when I was fifteen. For me, it truly was The Key To The Highway... Whether it"s Little Walter"s version in 1958, the one, captured on the fly, by Clapton and Duane Allman in 1970, or the one wrongly considered the original by Big Bill Broonzy and Jazz Gillum, the song "Key to the Highway" is undoubtedly considered a classic, even an anthem! Studies on the Blues tend to demonstrate that the lyrics are often to be taken with a grain of salt. But here we are squarely facing the obvious: the common aspiration for each individual to break free from their circumstances and find a personal and rewarding path. Even though I never thought that the humble "lip destroyer" would serve such a purpose, I must honestly acknowledge that all the encounters that have shaped my life have occurred more or less directly thanks to the Marine Band 1896/20.
