"Tales Of Mystery And Imagination Edgar Allan Poe" is re-issued in a variety of different formats including this 2LP heavyweight, 45 RPM Audiophile edition. The Alan Parsons Project debut studio album was originally released in June 1976. The lyrical and musical themes of the album are retellings of horror stories and poetry by Edgar Allan Poe. The album was a worldwide hit selling almost a million copies and achieving platinum status in a number of territories including Germany and Canada. This edition was expertly cut by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, November 2024 on a customised Neumann VMS 80 lathe using high-resolution audio transfers taken from the original master tapes for the 2016 remaster. Includes a replica of the original album 8 page booklet plus a printed insert containing a sleevenote featuring quotes from Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson.
