julius is finally back on his own home smallville with along the coast- its the first solo 12 since his mesmerizing flocking behaviour album in 2014. after remixes for telfort and lerosa recently, a 12 together with moomin on his closer label and some smallpeople material last year plus a surprising non-electronic album with his band-project tonight will be fine (together with abdeslam hammouda) on japanese label mule musiq, julius is now back on his own imprint, delivering 3 deep cuts for the dancefloor. next to running the smallville record-store and -label, julius started his own club-night and accompanied stamp-label down by the lake (catalogue number 03 is out now) in freiburg, plus hosting the smallville & friends thursday at legendary golden pudel club in hamburg every month as a smallpeople residency together with just von ahlefeld. they also put out record no. 5 on smallville-offshoot fuck reality recently. watch out for more good things to come this summer.. as always along the coast comes with a full cover artwork by stefan marx. all tracks are written, produced and mixed by julius steinhoff mastering & vinyl cut by helmut erler, dubplates & mastering artwork by stefan marx distributed by wordandsound

dublin based musician lerosa has built an impressive discography throughout the years. with his first efforts dating back to 2005 the producer who has a broad palette of sounds has already been around for over 10 years with releases for a vary of respected labels. for the first release on saftx, lerosa hands out a taster of the labels new series ambitions. vivrant house music is most definitely the back bone of playa de la guancha as a whole.

incl julius steinhoff version (smallville) ...telfort returns with a third 12inch on his own imprint, following the aptly titled debut in a good place and stellar follow-up lickety split. his best yet, the edinburgh-based producer drops the evocative and soul-stirring soon i will embark on a journey, with its immense, alluring melody and downright addictive grooves. on the flip, the hazy and hypnotic æuntil nowÆ takes us further on the journey with its shimmering textures and mesmeric flow, radiating warmth through mind-soothing chords and gritty percussion. further on, we hear a reinterpretation from julius steinhoff, co-founder of smallville records and half of smallpeople. serene and smooth but equally stomping and floor-ready, the melancholic strings and trickling percussion slowly develop and captivate in a sublime and entirely fitting rework.
