next up on sudden drop we have dutch native and member of eshu (along with ivano tetelepta) roger gerressen supplying the luscious beats. >faithful< is a spritely groove with elements of dub techno and tech-house with its lush chords and forward leaning percussion really giving the track a sense of pace. flip-sides >put that record on< delves deeper with a headier combination of deep bass and spoken >put that record..< refrain.

03.06.13
** vinyl only release !!**
leif steps up to sudden drop with a powerful 4 tracker. effervescent keeps the beats deep and dubbed out but with a real sense of pace to work the dancefloor. snowfall works as a counterpoint. a beatless lush soundscape with glorious warm pads and echod vocals. snowfall roughs things up with tough drums and percussion whilst nde is a pure slice of melody infused house bliss
ECHOTECHNO
12 Inch
22.05.12
ilario alicante might well be best known for his previous releases on big room labels cocoon and cecille but preconceptions can be misleading. here on sudden drop we plough a deeper furrow, not ones for hands up in the air shenanigans we prefer to get our heads down on the dancefloor for some serious introspection, which is why this 3 tracker from the italian born ilario finds its way onto our label. echotechno is indeed a main room slice of stomping techno but with that oh so important moody vibe that we crave here at sd,rouge dub on the flip delves deeper with an exceedingly trippy soundscape whilst untitled drop rounds things off with a spritely techno groove.
LANDSCAPE / FALL
12 Inch
31.08.11
bleaks 2nd release on sudden drop and another ep of streamlined sleek techno. >landscape< pulses along with a notably sense of warmth permeating through the otherwise stark groover. >fall< break up the pace nicely, incorporated more of a broken beat rhythm and a notched up level of intensity. expect big things from this artist with rumoured eps to appear on big labels in the near future..

2013 repress! sudden drop step it up a gear for their 1st release of 2011 with newcomer bleak providing a double header of beats. >isolated< kicks things off in fine style with sleek, super phatt beats and a serious amount of pace. throw in some tight production technique, a serious attention to groove and a fine palette of sounds and you have an impressive addition to any techno minded djs record box. flip for the moodier stylings of >bold<. although more introspective in its approach, bold is no less powerful on the dance floor. once again bleaks impressive production technique rises to the fore with big booming kicks and melancholic pads

WAITING GAME (PATRICE SCOTT REMIX)
12 Inch
23.04.10
truly beautiful deep house records are things to be treasured, akin to proper songs that will last the test of time, not made to meet a fleeting fad. this is one of those records and a real pinnacle & departure for blm & pawas. although the term deep is an oft overused one, >waiting game< personifies the genres true key traits with a subtly moving groove that gradually builds, using layers of subtle percussion and a rich, warm synth motif to make a rich tapestry of sounds before finally introducing the beautiful female vocal that gives the track its name. patrice scott liked the track so much that he agreed to remix it - his first ever outside of his own, excellent, sistrum label. using plenty of the original track parts but taking it a different direction, patrice really has come up with something special. the track moves along with snippets of the main vocal and clever use of the main synth, the groove being underpinned by patrice s classic sense of production before moving into a more classic >detroit< ending - a mindset with a bigger, more dramatic sensibility
