Following on from the superbly received debut release, Waiting Game, Sudden Drop produces the goods once more with a split release thats destined to go down well with the more discerning DJ.
First off is a summer uplifting slice of pure sunshine house music from Iron Curtis called ‘Stranded’. When we first heard the track we were truly blown away and were willing to beg, borrow and steal to crowbar it out of his hands. Fortunately for us he was more than willing to release it with us anyway without resorting to illegal means and so we have what we consider to be Iron Curtis’ best work to date. Super rounded, warm beats give way to uplifting piano stabs that are bound to put a smile on even the most pessimistic lips.
Flip over for the equally fabulous remix of previous release ‘Waiting Game’ by RNDM. He is someone we’ve been keeping an eye on for a while – along with his sometime production partner Efdemin (as Pigon) we think they’re two of the best producers out there. He certainly didn’t let us down, with a hypnotic pad and plenty of percussion along with snippets of the original vocal.
