Part One of the sampler opens with It Was Just A Dream , a ghostly cauldron of glitches, bleeps and sound bites that locks you into a dazed state of hypnosis. Next up, The Oh hits with a taste of classic house, marrying emotive stabs, a tough kick and fizzing ride cymbals. On the B side, You re Under My Control Now takes the sound industrial combining a Kraftwerk-esque metronomic breath with rapid fire toms and a dynamic kick. Absolutely Raving closes out the first of Parker s Dance Music samplers offering a rave leaning techno weapon that wouldn t be out of place in the hallowed grounds of Berghain.
