little boxes recordings brings the second maxi single on 12 inch vinyl with a mixture of starbuds electronic elements and cotton candys handmade guitar strings. on the a side they create their imagination of modern dance music. the b side brings a fine techno based track with lot of syntheziser parts by starbud. the second song on the b side gives a warmer feeling with a guitar based piece of their minds.
seventh record from danish nord records is out now. nord006 is an ep made by arkadelphia from tennessee, united states of america. the ep contains four warm sounding tracks that goes very deep!
the maaskant polychoral style was a type of music of the late modern electronics and early indie eras which involved spatially separate voices singing in alternation. it represented a major stylistic shift from the prevailing polyphonic writing of the early electronic generation, and was one of the major stylistic developments of the 90s which led directly to the formation of what we now know as the pure modern style. a commonly encountered term for the separated analog choirs is cori analogici spezzati literally, phased choirs. the a-side, featuring eyo olokun, signifies unfathomable deep grooves. that is, the instinct that there is something worth knowing, perhaps more than can ever be learned, especially this bassline that most people spend a lifetime pondering.
emotions, melody and rhythm. those are the keywords to describe jin chois new release on serialism records, >delirium ep<. the berlin based artist has already been on the spotlight with the serialism team for his release >full range< (with maceo plex on rmx duty) a couple of years ago. his peculiar sound has developed even more since back then, leaving a special mark on the electronic music by spreading its uniqueness via well respected labels such as lessizmore, contexterrior as well as his own imprint private gold. the original tunes are solid musical journeys crossing over techno and dubstep, somewhere between the berlin and london sound, sometimes between the past and the future. romantically charged of emotions and broken rhythms. delirium ep also includes a minimal avant-garde re-visit by jazz musician david koch aka dewalta from the vakant and meander family.
the pride of northern sweden, varg, is back with his new moniker, grav. this mini album features 6 brand new songs of his unique electronic darkness & melancholy. limited 300 copies, vinyl only.
originally from california and now residing in montreal, stefny winter arrives on third ear with a fully-formed sound. this music is dark and trippy with plenty of weight. the tracks are long, on average 8 minutes and unfold relentlessly, never letting go. over an hour of beautifully imagined and carefully realised techno, finishing with the stunning rise.
basilar records brings you split ep. a 2-sided, 8 track limited edition vinyl release featuring the works of both diarmo and banku. bringing forward 4 tracks on each side, split ep is an eclectic mix of what basilar records and these respective artists do best, championing 4-to-the-floor electronic music, with lashings of layered, complex ambient beats for your listening pleasure. a long wait for a long-awaited title, whether you are new to basilar or interested in something new, split ep is one release you deserve to have. complimented with individually screenprinted cover art on the front and back, designed and printed by visual artist l aubaine (laurie bender), this limited edition vinyl will delight visually and aurally.
2014 has been a slow year for sequencias in terms of releases. most of our energy has been spent towards the development of different projects, like our new webstore, that has become an outlet for us to share some of the records that influence the way we do things. so, with the wax offering slowing to a mere trickle, who better to entrust with our sole release for the rest of the calendar year? dcantu, of course. cantus electro-heavy sound is fleshed out here and while still lean enough for dance floors, it makes bolder moves into atmospheric and melodic territory.
industry sheds all personalized effort and tests how far you can get by using presets only. all sounds are factory presets of 3 obsolete 1990s japanese workstation synths, all effects are presets, all notes are quantized and most panning is purely accidental (laid out in the preset sounds). industry doesnt rely on successful presets, but on failed sounds of now obsolete synthesizers - industrial assumptions of where culture will go, but where it chose not to. the result is a surprisingly pleasant listening experience with effortless grooves and rich textures - and mildly demonic connotations. from smooth to kicking - a conveyor belt enjoying mood swings. as beautiful as the scheduled meeting of a pvc sheet and a thermoform mould on a workbench.
panel trax has grown international due to the producers and the trax being played abroad. the label is releasing trax in the spectrum of techno, acid, minimal, detroit, ambient and dub. it is into oldschool a new things as well but doesnt want to follow the actual trends. it just has a focus on atmosphere and sounding.
good morning children, welcome to school ! what might be known from ipoly mate 003, got a very different context here in the title track. heavy club food, flavoured by alec troniqs love for the energy of the early 90s. the chain was originally induced by old man trouble and then impulsively got the blues by alec troniq. it has a special place in their hearts and continues alec s series of crossovercollaborations in 2014.
it has been over a year since the last schmorgasbord release dropped, which saw al tourettes (better known now as second storey) rubbing up against paradroid in a mix up of electro, techno and electronica styles. now the label returns with bass clef and frak, who were asked to each commit a half-finished sketch of a track to tape, exchange tapes and finish off each others tracks. bass clef has been a strong solo force on the electronic music scene since he first emerged in the wider bass music field in 2006, and has since released on idle hands, punch drunk, pan and public information as well as running his own magic + dreams imprint. swedish trio frak have been releasing since their debut album in 1987 when they were thirteen years old. the swedish trio have been active for most of that time, running borft records and releasing a huge amount of music as well as performing live. in recent years they have enjoyed more recognition with releases on kontra musik, digitalis and sex tags mania. schmorgasbord launched in 2011 with a release that saw appleblim and october collaborating for the first time. it was followed up by a release from s-max and spatial.
a true surprise best seller in our 2014 release schedule, vermonts eponymous full-length debut also introduced the public to an astonishingly different musical side of the projects founders marcus worgull and danilo plessow (of motor city drum ensemble fame). an album worth of adventurous jam sessions and sleek synth soundscapes, it rather drew from sonic curiosity and the spirit of informal collaboration than the laser like focus of the club tunes both producers have become known for
we are happy to announce that we are back with our 4th sol asylum instalment >let it go< this time from label founder julie marghilano. the creation process was an inner journey to find once again her creative spirit and just let it go. the final result is a three-track ep created with live-recorded instrumentation and features vocals by the talented jazz singer ilhem khodja.
its the yeark trax from gunma japan. mazar is an impressice code synth sound with a female voice synth mixed in. durga mata is future acid sound. this mazar remix is by tevo howard, chicagos latest house music expert. chemdog gives a dubby impressions, and maintains the expression using a filter. a track that gives us the feeling that something has begun.
morphine continue to take us there, this time iranian producer, sote, with a full album. studies in techno patterns and aesthetics from a maximalist musical perspective without employing orthodox beats.
in what will certainly be ranked as one of his most intriguing releases so far, kompakt staple matias aguayo not only takes a quick breather from his commitment to cómeme, but also opens up fresh and exciting paths for him to explore with his music: legende is both the continuation and alteration of matias well-established aesthetic canon, drawing from all stages in his production career und ultimately synthesizing various sonic strains into a wholly new listening experience
in the beginning, ekoplekz promised wncl recordings that, should he attempt to make any tracks for the club, he would get in touch. good to his word, the artist formerly known as gutterbreakz aka nick edwards has delivered this 6 track beast. it does rather beg the questions which clubs has he been frequenting? and how do we get on the guest list?
savage grounds are cco and daniele cosmo, co-owner of lux rec. a techno related outfit to explore a darker, noisier and more menacing sound. the ep has been realised by using only three machines. a roland 808, a modular synthesizer and a roland space echo. every track has been recorded live with a minimum of post processing. come over the fence and dance with the savages.
after a 12 year break the uk techno label solid groove is back. kicking off with a collaboration with new york artist and metroplex label manager kimyon huggins.
scuba death is ricardo donosos alter ego. with more of a focus on analog sound, percussion, sampling, and location recordings, there is an organic undercurrent on scuba death recordings that isnt as prevalent in his solo work.
after the success of the first a-sides compilation in 2012, adam beyer has decided its time to release another. with adams stature steadily growing as one of the leading talents in the techno scene and the rise of drumcode, the standard of demos that have been sent to adam have been top notch.
our fetishes human halo strikes back with his 3rd ep on our imprint, showing his unique sound crossing techno, house, funk and dance. the pack includes 2 originals with a strong base, melodies and funk attitude. remixes are in charge of outstanding artists david keno (get physical / suara / noir) and michal ho (get physical / tuning spork).

modernista returns with new music from paul bennett aka duster valentine! modthree features two tracks - *overtaking on the inside lane* is a sparse, wild pitch-style rhythm track built around modulating chord sounds. on the flip *apologies apparently unnecessary* is a more individual take on the melodic deep house sounds of chicago that paul first hinted at on modone.
killekill welcomes a new duo on board. skew and satirist are not newcomers. nor are they a well-guarded techno secret. but for this initial outing they want the music to come first. both artists have a background in sonic and technological innovation and have started this project for their left-of-centre techno manoeuvres. berlin s killekill is the natural launching-pad. the ep visits idm-dipped dark techno, a track built around a malfunctioning feedback matrix and a wide-angle, subtly melodic adventure
like all great music, its often difficult to explain what it sounds like or convey the excitement you experience upon first hearing. wrong steps falls into this category exactly. describing his music as melodic house wouldnt do the intricacies and depths on display justice.
stunningly beautiful double-pack from och for autoreply music s 20th release. following on from output on renowned labels like pal sl, trelik, bass culture he returns to autoreply with seven tracks of playable perfection. by focusing on stripped-back percussive grooves, sparse 909 drum-programming and ultra fine-tuned dynamics he certainly proves with tracks -samarkand sulci- and -snarecrow- that the original jackin house/techno sound will always have plenty of life and soul. -don t fight it- is an 8.5 minute acid builder featuring haunting vocals and crisp synths whilst the bass driven dub of -enceladus- wouldn t be complete without live delays and distorted pianos. check out -morning glory- for a surprise contender for this years balearic soundtrack or -c ring- for ultimate warmth. tracks for every situation and not to be missed!
roughneck psycho-house from r.b. on his first outing for dog in the night. three moody ultra saturated wild-ass tracks made for the adventerous club dj. jack is in the eye of the beholder, can you dig it?
talismann dominates the assault with its fourth release, marching towards imminent victory. haunting soundscapes coming from the filthiest trenches, sudden rhythmic strikes with such brutal force that it will leave the auditory senses shell shocked..
a kaleidoscope of rainbow textures and rhythms disperse into the exotic soundscape of *tropical*. electronics, real folk instruments and noise-making objects feature here generously on this six-track concept album, blending together a sonic palette influenced by a rich variety of music, people and places. the material was initially written over the course of a few months during what seneviratne called *a beautiful burst of inspiration*. working with veteran producer asier leatxe ibanez d opakoa (electric lady studios, nyc), seneviratne then set about disassembling all the songs and re-working them meticulously, enriching the sounds by adding a huge range of live instrumentation, before processing the audio through vintage analogue studio gear. the vinyl lp comes with download code.
after first performing together at sonar festival with what was essentially a live version of our respective b.o.a.t.s. and adamant albums, thomas and i decided to expand on these ideas for something more broad and improvisation-centric.
paul ritch is back on drumcode with his astounding new single brainwash. perfectly capturing the energetic, driving techno sound that paul is capable of, brainwash delivers something that really engrains into the memory and leaves the dancefloor filled with vitality. on the flip side, inside me is a heavily percussive rolling track that uses interesting synth hooks and stabs to create a rocking groove that creates vigour and depth that pauls techno represents.
tiagos interzona 13 label has quietly gone about its business across three acclaimed and sold-out eps. his unique reputation as a dj is matched by the distinctive and unrivaled quality of his productions. for his fourth outing tiago treads an arguably more experimental path, and using sem titulo (untitled in portuguese) on three of the cuts here only adds to the mysterious nature of the sonic treats within. present, as always are the deft rhythm sections and powerful arrangements, as subtle elements of disco, techno & new wave provide the bedrock for his trademark off kilter melodies and soundscaping. the darker underbelly of club life may well be the inspiration, but the mood and execution are pure tiago! another beauty then from this outstanding, diverse and incomparable imprint.

grab the new s&c 005 record, a split 12inch by ender & stiletti-ana, put it on and lay down on your sofa. hear the opening groove from enders track p.l.i.h. and find your self getting up immediately to turn the stereo a little louder. adapt your self to the super tight, locked & futuristic and very original techno groove. watch especially out for the killer stab line in it as it is just something you will most likely find your self humming while shopping or taking your dog out. after the original mix of p.l.i.h. you will hear the stiletti-ana s stripped down version. he must have cut everything else out in his mix with his switch blade besides the ruthless stab line. dig the endless and ever growing stab jacking and remember that p.l.i.h side of the record is very serious and addictive for both club & home users. turn the record around and go back to your sofa. hear the twisted detroitian afro acid disco of stiletti-ana s track i got the master unit. filled with merciless synths and forcing rhythms i got the master unit leaves no questions of the keeper of that unit. the user of the unit seems to turn all things to the max and play midi tracks with tesla coil a like instruments. after the original it is ender s time to use the master unit and turn down the lights and ask the question: do you think that there will be something nice happening soon?
two years after his debut single he returns with a five track ep featuring i wonder why and four other tracks. his previous work was recognised early by the fader but instead of pumping out more releases, he took his time and the result is a great progression as a producer. not only was the ep recorded at his home, different rooms were actually sampled in the process. all with an increased number of textured synths en better drumlines blending into an ep with a very organic sound.

for the second release on cb sessions christian teamed up with his old friend tomio tremmel, who is better known as -the sushi club- the guys spent some all night long sessions to tweak the gear. influenced by modular systems, the virus ti, tanzbär and the jomox 888 this ep offers a widespread variety of club sounds and results in three different electronic tunes, which are hard to describe so you have to listen to it! also represented on this ep is italians best markus fix. since he has first heard christians -doubledub- he secretly trained everyday to sing the -supi dubi- hook. finally, after six years, he had the chance to present his skills in christians studio. don t miss the final tune - just supi dupi!

of course, there is a story behind every release, and this ligovskoi debut on dement3d goes back to one of their first live performances in paris, back in 2011, organized by our cousin label silicate : a group of artists - including dscrd - were invited to recompose an ambient soundtrack on the movie outland by peter hyams. ligovskois live performance was absolute magic, and their intense and powerful sound signature - with moving infra-thin melodies, ethereal noises, and deep bass foundations - was already sounding perfect.
the second of two remix eps for max coopers debut album human - this one bringing one of the albums most talked about tracks impacts for the first time, with an acid rework by pitchfork favourites factory floor and percs insane, obtuse and uncompromising abstract version. this is also the first release of harvey mckays version of an earlier max track, von der klippe fallen - one long grinding techno beat that opens to the dramatic piano of frequent maxs collaborator tom hodge.
polet, a brand new project from bilbao (euskadi, spain), to be exact from the urban and industrial heart of the estuary of bilbao... impressive place, family home to sanchesqui, the brain behind this new musical adventure. this first contact with the worldwide scene is through a first ep (la vie d une autre / plex!) and an amazing video of the song *soma* animated 2d and 3d by marina couso atalaya. renowned visual artist and illustrator living in tokyo.
a careful work, a well illustrated journey, where the four cardinal points are 4 originals marked by a bass line sound that seems to come from a tb 303 just dusted off by a deposit of mr. ikutaro kakehashi .
