fritz kalkbrenner ist zurück. mit »grand départ« veröffentlicht der sänger, komponist, dj und produzent 2016 den nachfolger zu seinem top-10-album »ways over water« von 2014. mehrere monate schrieb er an den songs, die er anschließend zusammen mit verschiedenen musikern in seinem berliner studio aufnahm. herausgekommen sind insgesamt 13 songs, mit denen er die richtung fortsetzt, die er bereits auf seinem vorgänger einschlug: chillige, soulige housebeats in kombination mit aufwendigen arrangements – von der gitarre bis hin zu streichern. nicht zu vergessen: die gesangsparts von kalkbrenner selbst.
